This installation was born out of a curiosity that asked, “What would happen if I arranged works that already depict landscapes shifting with the passage of time in whatever way I pleased? Wouldn’t that offer an even deeper glimpse into their complexity?”
The result turned out to be even more fascinating than I had anticipated.
The arrangement of the “green tsunami”—a key element of the work—gave me the impression that various narratives unfold simultaneously during this season of lush vegetation.

The original video consists of layers, each processed slightly differently to express the senses. This work is an experiment to see what would happen if I presented each separately. It is minimalistic, yet somehow quietly assertive.

Although it was not intentional, the old film-like works, placed opposite INST-S1-AOO in the galley, give off a yin-yang feel. Interestingly, they are still moderately negative.

Since this was the first group of works I made and this event was the first one, I wanted to do something straightforward and tight. Looking at the finished product, along with the impression that it turned out just as I had hoped, and that it gave more positivity than I had expected.
