Welcome to the "Transition: 'Budding & Blooming' Edition" art exhibition by Toshiaki.

Each artwork in this exhibition is an individual piece created by the artist, and the installation is in line with the artist's concept.

Toshiaki's artwork expresses a land/mindscape that changes on a daily basis, incorporating things seen "around the corner".

The artist regularly depicts scenes of the same place in his daily life over many years, and visitors are invited to evoke the universal creativity that can be found in their own lives by leaning on the same timeline.

The works exhibited mainly on the wall of 01 are based on processed images from the original pictures taken during the 100th anniversary of a legislature building in Canada.

The subtitle of the work is "1/100th," which represents the one year captured in the hundred-year celebration.

Toshiaki perceptually captures and expresses the transition between the building and the plants in bloom.

The works exhibited on the wall of 02, subtitled "Old Film," focuses on the time passage, conveying that it is already passing beyond the 100th year.

Toshiaki incorporated the old film process which allowed for adding more interpretive methods to achieve the desired expression.

The works installed in the center of the space are an overhead view of the original images also used in the Art Video series.

Simultaneously presenting the captured transitions and expressing them holistically is relatively close to Toshiaki's physical artwork.

Overall, Toshiaki's "Transition: "Budding & Blooming" Edition" is an exhibition that allows us to rediscover, through an artist's lens, the flow of everyday life scenery that we sometimes tend to underestimate.

Thank you for your visit, and we hope you enjoy the exhibition.
